What happened to Spinnup? 

On May 18th, 2022, Universal announced that their independent music distribution platform - Spinnup is switching to an exclusive “Invited artists only” mode. 

Not long after that, on the 1st of December 2022, Spinnup announced in a statement released on their website that they will be officially shutting down due to "market conditions and the changing landscape of the music industry." They also asked all artists to transfer their releases to another distributor and take them down from Spinnup.

Does Spinnup refund their artists?

If you are an artist who has already purchased a subscription with Spinnup, you may be eligible for a refund for any unused days. Spinnup has indicated that they will refund these amounts and that the refund process may take up to 30 days.
